Operations Manager

 

The Role

Reporting directly to the GM, and a key part of the Leadership team, this is a critical leadership role, responsible for managing our workforce.

This role will be based in our Port Kembla office with significant clients in the Sydney region.

The Operations Manager will be an exceptional, strong and diverse leader, who is responsible for the overall coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of operation according to strict deadlines and within budget.

You will also ensure consistent, efficient and effective day-to-day operations to ensure projects run smoothly and, as a business we run at maximum productivity.

This includes ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

This role will also include a business development component. Using existing contacts, and creating new avenues for profitable revenue, you will assist the Business Development Liaison in continuing to expand our business.

This role will need face to face presence across the business.

Essential Skills & Experience

To be successful in this position, you will bring substantial leadership experience. You will also be able to demonstrate strengths in the following competencies:

  • Experience project management or operations
  • Experience and success in managing and leading geographically dispersed work groups
  • Contractual compliance for all national and local clients
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, particularly in forging and developing relationships with new and key clients
  • Understanding of the growing pains in a dynamic, complex and often reactive market
  • Experience in resource planning and management to ensure we deliver, while meeting KPIs and financial imperatives
  • Flexible and pragmatic, able to learn quickly and respond to changing needs and priorities
  • Ensuring a safe working environment
